C7 chronograph cosc LE - blue face/yellow accents
Ok, just taken delivery of this watch (thanks to the wife). Looks much much better in the flesh than CW pics.. Actually, love it with the hollow lugs, blue case band, accents and general quality finish. Shame they didnt sell better.
Im really struggling to match a strap to it though as theres so much going on with registers and lots of blue..
It came on the CW Black soft leather which is nice but doesn't really set off the motor sportiness of the face and body. Thoughts were:
Rally style - maybe a bit overkill/busy with all those circles on watch and strap.
Perforated rally style (not big holes)
Perforated with blue perforations
Something to pick out the yellow hands and accents (its a yellowish/orange though and difficult to match)
I have a C9 LE chrono (big blue) with blue croc strap... Its just too much blue for me so thinking to avoid blue blue but if someone can suggest something that could work..
Im not normally indecisive on straps but genuinely struggling on this one and the strap will really finish off the look on this. Im going leather or leather/fabric as not a nato guy and prob not bracelet either.
Any help, suggestions, experience, ideas from you strap officionados on style/colour/make would be really helpful
Thnks

Re: C7 chronograph cosc LE - blue face/yellow accents
I think I may have a spare Torro Brava strap from a C70 Grand Epreuve (perforated with blue perforations) with a CW dress clasp on it hidden away at the bottom of my strap drawer somewhere. I bought the watch for my brother, but I bought a bader version of the strap for him and swapped it to that. If you are interested let me know and I'll try and find it out when I get home shortly. Heres the link to it from CW website (They only have XS left now, but the one that came off my brothers watch is standard length)

Brown croc grain with blue stitching and perforated blue with orange stitching look good but not the black.

Strange. One of my posts dissapeared from the thread, i know it wasnt of anything significant (definitely no dodgy content warranting mod removal so must be a glitch)

Definitely not deleted by a Mod.
Are you sure, as I have done it in the past, that you actually clicked on the 'submit' box and saw that the post was made?

Pretty sure as thought i saw it at bottom of thread then a couple of other posts came in and it was gone..
I think its most likely user error, maybe i didn't submit and then refreshed and lost draft.. anyway it wasnt a noteworthy or long so not an issue

Re: C7 chronograph cosc LE - blue face/yellow accents
Still undecided on this, tried the brown croc with blue stitching for a day and not convinced, bit too fussy with textures and maybe the croc bit too 'dress'... im thinking a slightly lighter brown with a smoother or matt finish (maybe perforations) or the black with blue perforations as detailed by TigerChris above. Anyone with a blue faced chrono (doesnt have to be this one) any thoughts?
PS the blue stitching is my own mod for another watch.. I have a method that seems to work quite well as long as the stitching not heavily waxed and you cant make a stitch lighter (unless you re-stitch) Anyone else mod their straps/bracelets?

What you need, imo, is something like this:
https://www.watchobsession.co.uk/collec ... -cuz002987
...albeit not the genuine Omega one = ££££'s
Or, perhaps, something like this:

Nice suggestions, Im absolutely loving that Aqua Terra strap, almost perfect for the 'look'... Im not sure i can justify the £195 on this particular watch though .. now to find a cheaper version of that strap maybe in a matt leather.

What about the CW camel vintage oak strap ?
I have one on my Bluebird and looks fantastic.
