C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
I saw this on my visit to the Showroom on 12 Feb and was surprised that I quite liked it. Usually I don't like these split colour Pepsi bezels on any brand's version as I think that the bright-ish blue and red bezel doesn't co-ordinate well with the black dial, but as I said this one surprised me. I prefer the lighter colour hands and markers and the red GMT hand to the colours on the steel bezel black and newly released blue GMT. The size and thickness is good for me.
Will I buy 1 ? No, even though I want to add a GMT and a blue dial watch to my present few watches. I would have preferred the black/red colours of a Coke bezel which I think would have fitted in with the black dial and red GMT hand better, so I don't like it enough to forget about the 9o'clock name-logo.
Will I buy the blue GMT then. Sadly again no due to the colour of the hands, markers and GMT hand plus in real life it's hard to see the numbers on the steel bezel at various angles and lighting. Nor am I convinced by the shade of blue and there's the 9o'clock issue again. I wonder what the blue bezel off the C65 Auto would have looked like on this blue GMT?
I'm still hanging onto my money until the release of the Trident III and the possibility of a C65 Chrono.

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
I quite like it.
I think they have chosen the colours on the bezel well - a hint of orange in the red ties in well with the colour of the GMT hand as well as the blue. I think they both keep the weathered, retro look and really work well with the tan choice of leather strap. Nice that they have also been able to keep the thinness of the C65 range too.
I’ve all ready got the standard C65 GMT so can’t justify the addition of this model and having overlap in the colllection. However, if I was looking for my first GMT it would be a close call between the two.

I like the Pepsi more than I thought I would, maybe even more than the original C65 GMT. The blue dial, on the other hand, looks hideous to me.

It definitely has to be on the bracelet. I'm so glad that it has white lume.

Love it love it love it
Definitely the bracelet is the way to go for this watch.
Hopefully getting it in February for my 50th birthday.

I agree with you in regards to the original GMT. But with the Pepsi, I quite like it on the leather! Don’t get me wrong though, it looks great on the bracelet, too.albionphoto wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:17 pm It definitely has to be on the bracelet. I'm so glad that it has white lume.
I kinda wish there was an option for a jubilee style bracelet. I think it would suite this watch.

I could go with the black straps but the camel just doesn't work.
Does anyone know if the bracelet has a push button micro-adjust?

The C65 bracelet has the same ratcheting micro-adjust system that the C60 and C7 bracelets use.albionphoto wrote:Does anyone know if the bracelet has a push button micro-adjust?

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
That's why I won't be buying a C65 GMT just yet. With the C60 Mk3 not too far off I'd rather see what that brings especially in GMT form.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:42 pmUnless they drop a ceramic C60 III GMT Pepsi on us Ferg

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
I think it's really nice as is the explorer ii steel bezel version. Personally I think the case design wipes the floor with the standard trident and the reduced WR matters not a jot. I could honestly see me owning one of these.
Cheers now, Paul

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi
The Pepsi looks pretty good to me and they will fly off the shelves, I'm sure.
But not for me - the Tudor GMT in my collection covers this base very well indeed - although I accept, of course, that's it's three times the price.

Time flies whether you're having fun or not. The choice is yours.
