Hello guys!
I bought this C65 Trident Automatic when it first appeared as pre-order. This lovely watch arrived on 23rd of February. But this time around, I instructed DHL to send the parcel to their collection centre. So, my wife wouldn't know the incoming although the next following day after picked up, she starred at my new watch, but she didn't say or ask anything. Phewww!! I love this automatic version, from the simple blue satin dial to the thin case. I can't find anything to fault about this watch.
So few days ago, someone in CWE FB recommended toolwatch apps to measure the accuracy of mechanical watches. I eagerly installed the apps on my iPhone, and the accuracy test on my C65 Trident Automatic started right away. My test is simple, I wore it for four consecutive days, with only up to one hour left on the desk for having shower. It was painful, I must admit. You can't imagine how 'itchy' my wrist was, to wear other watches like I always do! Here is the result:
Day 1: -1.4s
Day 2: 0s
Day 3: -1.6s
Day 4: -1.1s
Something wrong with my watch, I think. This is impossible! CW in their webpage clearly mention that the Sellita SW200-1 movement accuracy is +- 20s per day, for I believe the movement Standard grade is used, but not according to the result shown. Does CW use higher Sellita movement grade, such as Special (Elabore) or Premium (Top) for this version? Maybe! Well done CW!

I hope the inmates read more than just the topic title.
That's brilliant.

Re: Something wrong with my C65 Trident Automatic
I’ve had my own C65 Diver Auto on my wrist for eight days out of the last twelve since I bought it.
I’ve also been doing my own time checks (as I do with all my new watches!) although for daily losses/gains I tend to use my work PC clock. This is what I’ve got so far:
Day 1: Gain of 1sec
Day 2: loss of 1sec
Days 3 - 7: net gain of 2sec
Days 8-10 net loss of 2sec (this was in my winder)
Days 11-today: net gain of 1sec
So, overall net gain of just 1sec over two weeks! Like you say, I’ve no idea what CW are playing at by giving us such accurate watches...
C
PS - I don’t wear a watch at night; mine get left in my bedside table. With this watch I have noticed it gains about 1-1.5sec during my waking/wearing day, maintains constant time overnight if I leave it dial up and loses about 1.5sec overnight if I leave it crown up. I have therefore been able to “adjust” its overall timekeeping by how I leave it overnight.

Certainly not
One thing for sure, to become a true luxury microbrand watchmaker. I have seen a numerous growing number of these so called microbrand companies producing good looking watches lately, but I am not so convinced with their after sales services, unlike CW. Not to mention the CW awesome 60/60.

I will admit to a note of 'oh, no not again' trepidation when I read the title....nauf wrote:Don’t bash me please!Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:58 pm I hope the inmates read more than just the topic title.
