Re: C65 Trident Automatic
What color did you choose? Would love to see pictures when you get the chance (please!). Congrats!nauf wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 2:16 pm Received my C65 Trident Automatic this morning. All I can say is that this new version in C65 family shows major updates to its manual winding sibling. The case feels slightly thinner than the GMT. Smooth rotating bezel clicks, clean dial, is perfectly brushed and polished combo. I had C65 manual before returned it for full refund. But this one, I will definitely keep it.
Best regards,
John

Thanks.
These are few shots:
I think the blue dial just matches with the camel straps perfectly. Honestly, I think CW watches have shown tremendous improvement in finishing. And so justify the price tag.

I have had my showroom appointment for next week confirmed, I hope they have a black/ bracelet version available to try!

I was unable to access CW website last night in my phone, but I’ve noted that the clicky button has changed from “Available Pre-Order Early Feb” to “Buy Now”
Appointmamt booked for next week, I’ve asked to try then.

Re: C65 Trident Automatic
The blue in nauf's photos looks darker than any other photos of this that I've seen before. Hopefully I'll see shortly after 1000 tomorrow from my Showroom visit.

Each to his own, of course, but just out of curiosity more than anything, it would be interesting to know why you didn’t like the manual wind version.

Re: C65 Trident Automatic
If you download images from above in the thread and also from the CW site and attempt to correct for white balance ( assuming the CW backgrounds are a true RGB white and using the bottom left cloth in the images above ) and correct as best as can then the differences are a few RGB points only. Ordered mine yesterday so should find out soon.

Re: C65 Trident Automatic
That blue looks gorgeous! Way darker than the photos on CW’s website. Is this just the nature of your photos, or is that how the blue looks under normal, non-studio conditions?

Re: C65 Trident Automatic
When you do, will you comment on how the blue in person compares with Nauf’s photos? If his photos are true to life, I’ll order blue over black...eventually...at some point...further down the road than I would like.

Re: C65 Trident Automatic
It’s the same blue used in C65 Trident Diver, I must say. The previous photos were taken under studio conditions. Below is another photo taken in daylights.
That’s the blue under studio conditions. The above is the blue looks under normal conditions.
While I adore the philosophy adopted in manual winding watches, that is the create strong bonding between the owner and the watch (needs to wind almost everyday, full of touches), it’s a troublesome for me.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:36 pm
