Quick Release Bracelet

Post by Bident »

At the recent GTG, CW mentioned a quick release bracelet. Does anyone know if these will be released (tomorrow?) with the C65 Trident Automatics? I know Baltic, a French micro brand, is working on a quick release "beads of rice" bracelet that I imagine is similar to what CW will have: two knobs, one on each lug end, when pinched together releases the bracelet:

From what I could gather it’s due to be released on the Trident MK3 later in the year?

Long time coming I say.
Wonder why it wasn’t included on the new C65 automatic?
Or has it?

To be honest I’m that used to swapping bracelets out now that it takes no longer than a normal strap change. It will be nice to have, but an all brushed bracelet, the addition of a half link and/or maybe an improved ratchet clasp system are higher on my wish list than the quick release (if the ratchet clasp had another couple of mm in it no need for half link). I know CW said at the GTG there shouldn’t be a need for a half link, but if you like your bracelet adjusted so it sits in the middle of the adjusting clasp to enable both tightening and loosening on the fly there is for some people. I’d be happy enough though with the current bracelet available in all brushed as on the C7 as I think its already a nice bit of kit.

^^^ good point about the lack of half link.

People say 'we wish we had a half link'
CW say 'you don't need one'.

Quick release bracelet will be the icing on the cake though.

My Valimor has a quick release bracelet. It’s a good idea and removing the bracelet is quite simple.

Refitting it though... in truth what with getting the fingers into place along with fitting the end link into the lugs, it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other.

So, removal ... good. Refitting ... so so.
