Re: A blast from the past - C5 Malvern Mk1 GWK
I still have my Mk1 C5A and C3's. Both lovely watches. The C3 is just about perfect, with so much character in the stepped dial. I think if it had lume-filled numbers at 3-6-9-12 for better night use it might actually be a perfect quartz chrono.

I have the Mk1 C3 too. Easily the nicest C3 for me. I will do a photo of both together at some point.

That lovely MK2 SGWT got a great home Paul, My Dad who I bought the watch for adores it and it's worn every day.Paul Drawmer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:18 pm Yep, I sold and bought to swap a C3 Mk2 for a Mk1.
Mk2 (with rare gold hands and numbers)
Now on a brushed elasticated bracelet which suits it so well

Ferg, would that be a fixoflex style bracelet? I used one of them for about 25 years, Very smart but good at wrist hair removal!
There's always time for one more.

I believe so, it was originally on a Timex 'Original' 1940 edition.Paul Drawmer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 23, 2018 9:44 pmFerg, would that be a fixoflex style bracelet? I used one of them for about 25 years, Very smart but good at wrist hair removal!

Re: A blast from the past - C5 Malvern Mk1 GWK
Just an update. I took the C5 in for service when we went for the Admin Team meeting in November. It has taken a while (no preferential treatment ) but I got a call today that it is sorted. Call came just as I was about to leave for Stansted (flying to Cyprus tomorrow). No tearing hurry, it can wait until I’m back in January.
Happy Christmas, folks!

Look forward to some pics Steve.
Funnily enough one of my first ever CW watches was a C3 SWT (Mk I) which I subsequently sold to fund something else.
I actually found that I missed that watch, so much so that I managed to source and buy another one.

Top notch Steve. Back to old times eh?
As you have been used to wearing your C60 Trident GMT for the last few weeks, does the C5 feel small?

Good question. As I wear anything from 33mm to 43mm I tend to adapt to different sizes very quickly.
