New arrival
New arrival
Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve hankered after one of these since I saw the first pictures. I was sorely tempted to place an order but couldn’t justify the cost.
But when one came up as a NN at a discount, I couldn’t resist. It means that even with a discount I’ve blown my watch budget for the year in a stroke, but it is worth every penny. It looks even better than I thought it would and is supremely comfortable and a great fit. I love the ‘calliper’ pr, the hollowed lugs like my regular c7 and that movement is just a thing of beauty!
Excuse the rubbish iPhone pics

Re: New arrival
What a great addition!
I saw one of those in the flesh when I visited the CW showroom a couple of months ago. True, probably not to everyone’s taste, but if it ticks your own boxes then to hell with what others may think!
Personally, I loved the engineering and the ability to admire it all through the case back, but could simply not get away with its size.
I hope you enjoy your new addition,
C

So that’s where it went...
Congratulations on the purchase, particularly since you’d been wanting one before buying. Excellent...

Re: New arrival
I bought mine at full price and I was very surprised that one showed up as NN. Congratulations on getting hold of a rare and very distinctive CW and at such a great price. Enjoy it.

Re: New arrival
Thanks all - totally blown away by it.
I go to look at the time and carry on looking at it...
What do I like so much about it?
1) Red accents. In many ways it’s a discrete watch, with its muted greys, silver and DLC. But your eye is naturally drawn to the red detailing, the bridge, the second hand and the stitching on the strap, making it stand out. That kind of contrast is one of my favourite design features - the orange trident on my 316l or the bright second hand on my Damasko da38. It’s in spades on this.
2) hand wound and power reserve. I’ve wanted a watch with a power reserve for a while, a complication that sits perfectly with a five day hand wound movement.
3) movement with display back. That movement is simply stunning - winding was a pleasure, watching a feat of mechanical engineering.
In summary, I’m pretty chuffed. Whilst it is a much higher price point than all of my previous purchases, it still feels tremendous value for money at full price, never mind at a discount.

New arrival
Yeah, it’s really neat. I’m surprised CW made that watch. It’s a contemporary Buck Rogers-goes-to-the-movies-with-his-date watch.
I’m sorry I missed that one.

Re: New arrival
That’s a very cool watch! I like watches that look different from the run-of-the-mill. This one sure stands out!
