My 2nd Christopher Ward Watch

Post by Huskyboy »

Having been given a CW watch Collector's Case for Christmas which was looking quite sad devoid of watches, I submitted to the January sales and purchased my second Christopher watch to help fill it.

A C7 Rapide Automatic DLC/Black/Red, loving the big bold face and two tone strap

This is to be my everyday watch and my C1 Grand Malvern which I have worn daily since purchased will now be my best/dress watch

Congrats, on starting down the slippery slope that is known as multiple CW ownership.

As Steve has said, you have now started on that slippery slope. I believe those cases have 8 slots, so any ideas on the next 6 watches to fill it? Empty slots are not allowed around here you know  Any pics of the DLC C7?

Having extra slots is an invitation to fill it. Congrats on the c7. It's a lovely time piece.no doubt it won't be your last CW.

Congrats! Now fill the rest of that box. :silent:

How you finding your C1 GMPR?
Sent mine back. Power reserve was diminishing no matter if I wore it everyday. Reserve disc just decreased, never increased with wear.
Was ok for first 2 months.

My 2nd CW (bought in the January sale) is also a C7 Rapide Automatic in black and red, and absolutely love it. First purchase was a C5 Malvern Slimline, which still gets worn regularly. The only issue with the C7 is that the strap is a bit too long - does anyone know if I can get the black and red leather in a smaller size? Thanks!

CW are phasing out their XS (short) straps but have a 22mm plain black currently available in their Clearance.

Other than that, you need to look at after market suppliers for shorter straps.

Two popular ones with forum members are Watchgecko and Watch Obsession both of whom offer a wide selection.

Yesterday I listed a short soft touch leather strap on eBay. It has red stitching. Have a look if it’s any use.
