Edinburgh GTG - Chat with Chris - Saturday 19th January 2019

Post by Bahnstormer_vRS »

A date for your diary.

We’ve just had an email confirming the GTG in Edinburgh with CW. Please see below for an extract of the email from Olivia.

"Hello all,

I have confirmed the venue today so am happy to say that you can now update your groups* with the following information:

Venue: SKYbar Edinburgh, 34 Bread Street, EH3 9AF

Date: Saturday 19th January 2019

Time: 14:00 – 17:00

All three co-founders will be there to present an exclusive preview of the newest Christopher Ward launches, plus all guests will be able to pick up a copy of the new Loupe magazine (issue 12) before it goes out to subscribers worldwide at the end of January.

The SKYbar is also referred to as the Penthouse at the DoubleTree Edinburgh Conference Centre (it is three doors down from the main hotel reception) so guests can ask for either on arrival and the staff will point out the right direction.

Please let me know if you need any further information at this time. I hope that both groups* can begin getting excited because we definitely are!

Best wishes,

Olivia"

*Forum and CWE FB Group

This is the first of the new format GTGs and, unlike previous Forum GTGs, is being hosted by CW who are footing the bill. Thus there is no direct cost to attendees other than your travel and accommodation arrangements.

The SKYbar looks to be a fabulous rooftop venue with views toward Edinburgh Castle and it has been a while since all three Co-Founders of CW, Mike France, Chris Ward & Peter Ellis, have been together to meet their customers.

To help CW plan numbers attending, whilst there was a poll in our GTGs - mini Chats with Chris topic with a favourable response, please send me a PM (including your full name) if you will be attending, so that I may keep tabs on numbers.

Finally, there are a few fine details still being worked out, which will be promulgated when known.

That's a nice venue with lovely views over to the Castle, only about a 5 minute walk from the west end of Princes Street.

Gutted that I have already have something else booked that day and will not be in Edinburgh :censored:

Sounds great, getting the news of forthcoming releases.

Unfortunately it's at the opposite end of the UK to me.

Thank you to those of you who have sent me a PM to tell me that you will be coming along.

Whilst I have had a good number of responses, there is plenty of room in the SKYbar; the more the merrier. Keep 'em coming.

Part of the intention of the GTG is to have a 'Chat with Chris'.

If you would like to put forward a question to be asked, please go the the Questions - Chat with Chris - Edinburgh GTG - January 2019 topic.

It is planned for the Chat with Chris element of the GTG to be video'd, I'm waiting on confirmation from CW that this is arranged. Trusting this works out, we will aim to get it posted on the forum afterwards.
