Timing is everything!

I’ve missed out on these events before. Usually due to work. I missed out this time too and I’d have seriosly considered one of the offerings!

I’m not complaining though. I was off work and was actually on the Mac looking at the Forum at the time of the C65 NN sale and managed to bag one pretty quickly. It was all thanks to someone posting the “heads up” on here.

Again, timing is everything. Its great when you get it right!

I typically miss out on the good stuff being 8 hours ahead in Oregon. By the time I wake up in the morning it's usually been picked pretty clean. I have no problem with the way they do these type of sales, but it would be nice occasionally if they started them in the evening UK time so the UK, Europe, and the colonies could get a shot at it. Of course our Australian cousins would then be screwed. I guess there is no perfect way to please everyone :D

You're 8 hours behind the UK Malcolm, not ahead. Might I recommend the C65 GMT, I read a really good review for it recently

I missed it all. Did anyone take a record of what came up just for my interest in the models past & the prototypes?
My name is 0uatiOW, but before you ask, no I don’t.

There is a rumor...

Australia and NZ are in time zones many hours ahead of almost anywhere else in the world. It doesn’t matter when the sales are posted, they are always 8-16 hours in my past, so I almost always miss out. ;)

Oops, I know that. Just a typo :D If CW were to start the sale at about 5pm UK, those of us on the west coast of USA would be doing our morning routine at 9 am, so would be at least in with a shot. It would be even better for our east coast USA customers as it would be 12pm. I would think it would actually be better for a lot of UK customers as well because they could be finishing or getting home from work as opposed to trying to make a decision in the middle of their work day.

I'll have to check out that C65 GMT

I suspect that if they all sell out that quickly, CW probably don’t care what time they go up...

I'm relieved I was late to the party as there were a few very tempting pieces

Finishing or getting home from work at 5pm !?
Many workers in the UK might just be starting their 1 to 2 hour commute home if they've been lucky enough to finish work before 5.30-6pm.

Was about to make that very point Mick. It proves there is no "best" time to start these sales. You just have to keep an regular eye out for the comms, act quickly and have a bit of luck....that's all.

I come from a family of 6.
First up, best dressed was the rule!

Little did I know it at the time but the embarrassment of a few school days wearing my mother’s “big pants” and flowery frocks, is probably the reason that I’ve scored in a couple of previous CW sales! 8)
