^^ You could, but I dare say it’d fetch a lot less money if not actually running.

I know I wouldn’t pay as much for a non-running watch as one that’s going. It’s hard to confirm that it’s just a flat battery and not a faulty movement.

...I bought a Seiko Chantilly (quartz) as a non-runner, put a new battery in which didn't fix it and now turns out that it needs a replacement movement - problem here is that it's so old that trying to get parts is like gold dust - even the Seiko Heritage centre couldn't help :(
