2012 Forum LE for sale by Chris Ward

Post by mvlow »

This is on Chris Ward's Instagram feed this morning. If anyone is interested he says to direct message him on Instagram. I have no idea if it is still available or how much he is asking.

Quite correct scooter, although with the 50 'scooter blues' there were 100 forum LE that year (info for newbies).

In the meantime, there seems to be a queue for it.

I've not messaged anyone on Instagram, but when you click on his page, at the top of the screen next to his profile picture isa a message button.

Thanks for pointing that out and to Scooter for bumping it.

It won't be in the SC much longer - It's been there for about 5 weeks, been read over 700 times, been reduced twice but hasn't had a bite so far.
The reason it's up for sale is to contribute towards the cost of a Moonwatch. Once I've paid out for the Moonie I'll just take the knock of a reduced budget balance of £375, withdraw the Scooter from the SC next week and place it back in the hidey hole at home to hold onto it for some very infrequent wear-times.

Anyone any thoughts on why Chris offered watch on Instagram instead of here on Forum.

Could the recent shenanigans (great word, isn’t it) on here have anything to do with his decision!!

Just thinking out loud.

Totally unrelated Brian.

Chris.ward.247 has been posting 'one off' watches for sale on 'Throwback Thursday' for the last month - six weeks on Instagram.

Last week's was a C9 Harrison GMT, if I recall.

I think he is using Instagram so that any and everyone (who 'follow' him, as I do) can see it at the same time.

Chris is a frequent user of IG and does not post on the forum. In fact, he's not eligible for Sales Corner. :D

Thanks for explanation Guy and Richard, makes sense.

I never use instagram, so wasn’t aware of these sales.

Maybe when he qualifies for Sales Corner he may change his tactics

Don't worry, I don't use it either.

OK, I've got an account, and I follow a few people and companies, but I have NEVER posted anything.

I find this forum and Facebook quite enough.

Well the Scooter's been sold this evening. Thank you to Patrick, Scooter and Guy.
I said it wouldn't be available for much longer. :D
