Rolex GMT-Master II Everose

Post by gaf1958 »

Not for me, but a snip at only €33,900...

I won’t lie to you, I love gold. Therefore, the new Rolex GMT-Master II Everose was a pleasant surprise for us. I will get back to the bi-color version later of course, but first let’s have a look at the Rolex GMT-Master II Everose reference 126715CHNR.

Although that one is "too much" - both in terms of bling and money - I quite like the bi-metal version:

A lot more reasonable at £10,350 - which is probably what a steel pepsi will cost in the secondary market...

Two tone with the Rose Gold has the edge of subtly over either the full rose gold or a two tone yellow gold.

I don't dislike it (but then, as Neil advocates, I'm over 50!).

Well under fifty here and that TT is lovely, much nicer in my eyes than the Pepsi SS.

I find the everose to be less blingy than a full gold watch and actually quite like this (other than the price obviously).

I think it would look better with a brushed rather than PCL.

I'm also of the age that thinks the Rose Gold is not as flashy as the yellow gold, I could wear the full rose model whereas I've always shunned the full yellow gold.

I couldn’t wear either of them, I don’t have the sovereign rings to match! Just look horrible to me. I do like the bezel colour though.

In my eyes both of these are less blingy than the new Pepsi.
The jubilee bracelet sparkles like a Roal Oak bracelet.
Nice root beer colour scheme though.

I agree that the new twin tone model is less blingy and obvious than the Pepsi SS model. In fact it looks rather classy and should be more easily available. It also shows that the oyster bracelet is the much nicer design for the GMT Master, not the jubilee bracelet. However, I do prefer the jubilee bracelet on the 36mm Date Justs.

I find myself liking gold-splashed watches more and more now, eg the white and gold TT Daytona. The fact that I will be 50 next year is surely no coincidence! :grandpa:

Absolute nonsense about 50+. I've been wearing watches with splashes of gold for at least 10 years and I'm - oh wait ...... I'm 60 now so ......

50 next year you say?

Two tone you say?

Jubilee bracelet on a DJ you say?

As your watch concierge I have found you the ideal present for your 50th. A tasty sunburst brown dial two tone DJ on Jubilee bracelet.

Good work, Monsieur Concierge! It looks good, but I may need another 12 months maturing for it to truly weaken my knees. :D

[Secretly, my 50th will be very close to the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, so I'm hoping that Omega will bring out a killer Speedmaster LE to mark the occasion that I can procure. Of course, Omega may just let the landmark pass without bothering to create a special Speedmaster for it.... :dielaughing: ]

^^^^^ Well I reckon that Omega will let it pass without issuing A special Speedmaster.....

The 50th has to be one that they can pump out at least FIVE special LE Speedmasters - each limited to 5069 pieces! :)
