I'm not gonna partake in this one, current funds don't allow and I'm more interested in the GMT coming soon anyway. Difficult choice for ordering this one though, I'd be torn between the Abyss and Pastel Blue Dials, and the Steel 12 hour and Sapphire Dive Bezels. Too much choice!

Greetings,
Thank you for the info.
I might try and see if I get anywhere.
Will their site crash or be the target of an attack?

lol...BerlinCW wrote:Will their site crash or be the target of an attack?
well, i won't say it won't crash. i do expect it to get hit pretty hard with people trying to pre-order. the second batch of the first round of seaforths disappeared in something like 5 mins or less. so all of the disappointed people from that order are probably going to be hitting it right at 8am pacific tomorrow, along w/everyone else who wants one. it could definitely bog down.
the "g" is for Greg...

I really like the Seaforth, light blue face. The black sapphire bezel probably just edges it for me over the steel bezel. At $690 for a rotating bezel version plus VAT/customs/delivery etc is going to take the cost to maybe to 650 GBP which is a fair bit.

Aaarrrgghhh!! Trying to save for non-watch things but have admired these for months, and very impressed by Jason Lim...
Additional UK Tax, delivery etc. would push the GMT to around £900. Worth it still, but takes it somewhat outside the 'sort-of-carefree-purchase' territory.
Pastel blue with 12-hour bezel, or wait for the dark blue ETA GMT with sapphire diver bezel????

Can you all just do me a favor and not be on the Halios site tomorrow. Thanks.

I like the look of the Abyss blue and the Bahama Yellow ones. Think the sapphire bezel on the Abyss Blue looks fantastic
Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
That would be my choice, if I didn't prefer to wait for the GMT which I can't buy either as I'm trying to reduce numbers and it'll end up too expensive as well after shipping costs/duty.SIB wrote:Think the sapphire bezel on the Abyss Blue looks fantastic

My decision was wait for the GMT. Ive messaged Forasec to try and get an idea of pre order cost/timescale from themTG3N wrote:Aaarrrgghhh!! Trying to save for non-watch things but have admired these for months, and very impressed by Jason Lim...

Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
Yes, much as I think the pastel blue is stunning & different, the GMT with date & elapsed time bezel offers all the functionality I could really need in a watch, with an ETA movement as well.
