Decision, decisions, decisions.....
Don't you just hate it when you can't make up your mind over a watch.
Having experienced the joy of getting my Seiko PADI Turtle, I fancied trying a lower budget Seiko diver for use as a general beater. After looking to source watches available in UK, I made the mistake of finding myself on the Creation watches website in the Seiko Japan Domestic section. Initially I fancied a SKX007 but decided I needed an automatic with hand wind and hacking so a 4R36 movement was essential. I narrowed it down to 2 watches.
For my love of blue the SRPB37J1 fitted the bill. The deep blue and gold accents look great together.
To cater for my need for something orange, the SRPB39J1 certainly fitted the bill admirably.
The decision was so difficult but one was made.....I had to have both! At Creation prices, along with an extra little bit of coupon discount made it a no-brainer, so I'm a happy bunny. The blue will stay on the bracelet as it looks so good, the orange will definitely go on this NATO....

They look fab. I could see the blue one on Creation, but not the orange one.
Definitely the best way to make a decision

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
Creation don't seem to catagorise all their watches properly.
I've often found that going to side bar and selecting ORIENT for example, followed by BAMBINO it will give you 8 results but if you type BAMBINO into the search bar you get 14 results.
That was a rather long winded way o saying "use the search bar" not the tabs.
I trust you went the royal mail route with your order?

Sounds like the perfect way to solve that conundrum. A very nice pair.

No I didn't actually, I was expecting to pay vat and handling either way. Then I saw your recent post in another thread . Mind you, I have been stung for vat and handling with Royal mail deliveries several times in the past. So charges were budgeted for, still about £300 for both watches compared to £430 UK price (Yorkshire watches K suffix models) and I get a tiny Made in Japan on the dial to boot with the J suffix models. The K versions were a little bit cheaper at Creation but I fancied the Japan versions - don't know if they are better in any way though.DISJT wrote:I trust you went the royal mail route with your order?

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
"Long island watches" did a side by side comparison and didn't really notice much difference but "the urban gentry" was pretty adamant that the case was much better polished / finished on the J when he compared the 2 models.
I too usually pay the extra for the J but I've just ordered a SKX007 K variant so will find out myself when I compare it to my existing SKX009 J and post the results. (obviously different colours)

I really like the orange one! The picture on the Creation site looks so drab in comparison with the one above. I am sure sites would do much better business if they had good pictures.

All the J models I own have English and Arabic on the day wheels.neilj568 wrote:Don't the J variants have a Kanji day wheel
K models have English and either Spanish or French from what I've seen.

So did you end up having to pay VAT and handling using Royal Mail? And was is shipped from New York or Japan?

^^^^ They're not coming Royal Mail as I chose the DHL delivery and they haven't arrived yet. I've had a delivery notice from DHL telling me it will be with me Thursday, not bad as it was ordered Friday night. The delivery notice says the package is coming from Singapore. I'm expecting to pay VAT but we'll see. Looking forward to getting this
