1928 'digital watch'

another v expensive watch has grabbed my fancy.
the cartier tank a guichets from 1928. it's beautiful, and makes me smile. reason enough to share.

That Apple watch is not very accurate.

You think youve seen everything but then....

Love this. The classic tank case suits it so well, a round ticking center seconds in the middle of the case (featuring the Carrier logo) with a fat band of guilloche surrounding it and intersecting with the jumping minute window would look amazing.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

I agree that is a bit strange on an otherwise really interesting (and no doubt VERY expensive watch).

I could imagine the fact that the screw isn't even level at the horizontal would bug some of our more OCD inmates :lol:

^^ the screw + recessed fitting 'theme' is repeated twice near the bottom of the dial, so i think overall it does hang together. for me it's got more visual interest than if it just haad symmetrical screws. i wonder what it is about looking at just a picture of a watch like this (or the cartier above) that just lets you know it's a high 'quality', high price item?? :-k
