CW watch design suggestions

Post by nordwulf »

The Forum Limited Edition CW watch was an interesting exercise in designing a watch using existing elements from other CW watches and new dials/hands/bezels and other styling elements. The FLE for 2017 is well on its way but I thought it will be fun to see what else we can come up with. Perhaps someone at CW headquarters will see these suggestions and think some of them may be a good idea for a limited edition.

C60 with different hands, i.e. like the C65 MkII. While the sword and onion hands are a signature look for the C60, others may think it makes it look a bit old-fashioned and too polarizing. Maybe make the hands slightly fatter

New dial colors for the C60. We want a blue dial Trident! :D

My suggestion for FLE 2017 (with design help by another forum member). Date at 6 would be cool but current position at 3 would be just fine.

Change the hands and a 40/41 mm case
But I'm sure that's been suggested before

The date at 6 balances up the new logo in a way that makes it just about acceptable... :D

First one for me, and it would also be good in blue as the third image.

Others suggested a no-date version. Would be perfect in 41mm size.

Both the all blue with central date and the black with no date are stunning!! Maybe when the new casings come in we might get one in 41mm......

Splash of red with date at 6 or orange at 3 for the 43mm version. Height of 11mm and 20g weight reduction would be perfect to make it more comfortable on the wrist.

I'd be very tempted to buy this (without the wonky bezel;-) )

Love the red. How about some red on the black bezel.....to match and bring the red out a bit more...

love the no date version! It would look fantastic with a black bezel and blue dial. If a date wheel version was produced I'd like the wheel to be the same color as the dial and positioned at 6,same black bezel an blue dial with thinner case please.

Great idea for a thread, there were a lot of excellent design ideas that came up in the FLE process and maybe CW can find something here to work on, and LE perhaps like the C65 LE we had last summer.
