Vintage Trident on Nato

Post by ataripower »

Just trying a few combinations and think this just looks great! Be interesting to see any pics on a black rubber strap if anyone has one.

I must say I am not a fan of Bond natos but I love it on your vintage Trident, Wulf. Looks absolutely fantastic, like they were made for each other!

Can't really go wrong with a Bond Nato - both the Connery and the Craig versions go with just about anything.... :D

I've been wearing my vintage Trident on black nato as well as bond nato. It also looks rather spiffing on a grey nato.
It's worth spending a bit of money to get a high quality nato strap which is a bit more robust as the C60 is a heavy watch and a cheap, thin nato will wear out at your chosen pin hole as the hole gets stretched by the pin because of the weight of the watch.

I also have a really nice vintage leather super soft nato from Stevo Straps which also looks the dogs.

These days the C60 gets worn mostly with the Stevo Leather nato or an Isofrane in Brown. (although, given the price of Isofrane straps , this was a total extravagance)

I'll gig out a photo of that Nato, in the meantime, here is my Tudor Ranger on it.

Didn't think i'd like the look of the Trident on Nato but your photos have proven me wrong.

Are there any recommendations on where to buy extra (cheaper) straps (or is this question taboo?)

My pick is Watchgecko as their NATO straps are generally 300mm whereas others are typically 275mm (which I think is the length in the NATO specification) and the 300mm length allows me a better tuck in for my wrist.

I have a Timefactors NATO but this is as a little thicker and I find it trickier to get a good tuck in.

Nordwulf, may I ask where you got the green strap from, please? I am looking to invest in a vintage Trident soon, and this is the type/colour strap I would like to get for it.

I got it from Crown & Buckle where I get most of my nato/zulu straps from. The one in the picture is the 3-ring Heavy Duty Nato (zulu) in Khaki.
