I have a few Caunys... similar dial designs, but non Chrono. They are Spanish IIRC?

That one is lovely :)

Edit:- Found a pic of one of them... not one of the ones I was thinking of though;

1972 Omega Memomatic on the wrist until the clay pigeon shoot this afternoon when I shall be wearing something less vintage as I don't want to risk damaging it.

This is the vintage Zenith I did a trade for with Robert75, that's another vintage watch to add to my collection, just need to try and date it now.

My best guess here is late '60s, possibly early '70s.

Evidence:

1. The case is classic '60s, though the style did continue into the '70s.
2. The applied batons were popular throughout the period, though the short double ones at the cardinal points are heading towards '70s styling.
3. Hands - the '50s and early '60s tended to favour more slender hands, often pointed in the sword or dauphine style. The squared-off types with lume inserts are often a little later.

Of course you can probably get info from the movement or the inside case-back, but my best guess would be 1968-72. I'm probably miles off! :lol:
