Re: Forum Comes Home
I'm ambivalent about the CW buy out of the forum. Good luck to Hans and thank you Kip for what I assume is an agreement that you will continue to moderate the forum for the foreseeable future. Personally I'm looking forward to input from the company especially as it has come in for a bit of criticism over quality control and warranty/guarantee issues recently - I have been one of the company's critics on some of these issues and look forward to seeing clarifications on certain issues direct from the company if indeed this happens. I think Downer summed it up succinctly and spoke for many when he said words to the effect "if i don't like the changes I'm off". I hope that does not happen as the strength of this forum is in the experience and knowledge and opinions of the people who populate it.

From my exploits into the forum world, I can't imagine the new owners will try to rock the boat. This forum seems like a great place (from my week of participation).

Re: Forum Comes Home
I hear through the Grapevine that the Team at CW are drawing straws as to who will have the pleasure of breaking the news that it is no longer the Christopher Ward Forum but the CHR. WARD Forum.
Just joshing.

Re: Forum Comes Home
the domain 'wardforum.com' is available to register...
easy to set up a sub-domain...
so chr.wardforum.com is very feasible

I found this forum a great place for great people and information. I hope the forum will continue to operate in the same manner as it always had!

you can't
urls are hierarchical:
chr.ward.com is a subdomain of ward.com - not a separate domain
ward.com is already taken
you could do a deal with the owner of that domain to set up the subdomain and point it elsewhere, but you can't separate the registration
