Zodiac Seawolf

Post by Kip »

Speaking of Zodiacs....picked this up today.

I have been searching for A vintage Zodiac Seawolf for some time. It is Russ Shettles fault, for it was him that introduced me to them. This is not the model I was looking for, but when I saw it I fell in love (Damn disease). I had never seen one like this before and could find nothing like it in my research so thought I would take the chance. If it is half as good as the photos I will be very happy. It should arrive in a few days.

Not sure about the strap, but it does look pretty good in the photos. Open for suggestions.

I hope I did you proud Russ. :)

Circa 1968

Nice pick up. Looks like it's still in fairly good condition. I love vintage Zodiacs.

Wow! I hadn't seen that variant yet. Good stuff.
I've always wanted a Seawolf. I've read that's what many of the Navy Seals were wearing in that era.

Some things that puts me off so many vintage watches are uneven, random or extreme ageing of the dial.
Another thing that puts me off so many vintage watches is dials that are in perfect condition - they shouldn't be.

This, on the other hand, shows just enough ageing and not too much. It's slightly lighter at the edges and in the centre. The raised markers look slightly 'worn' too. Perfect!

It's quite a looker too.

Someone took care of this watch for more than 40 years.
It still looks very good, I would wear it any time.

Nice watch kip, it's amazing how some timepieces never lose its appeal after so many years.

I had never seen this one before either. Perhaps that is why it jumped out at me. Seems it may be a bit of a rare model.

This should satisfy that Seawolf itch I have had the past few years. :)

The Seawolf arrived as anticipated and it is every bit as good as I was lead to believe. My photo does no more than prove I have it. I am extremely happy with this one. It has been worth the wait. :D
