Hi John,

Is that the Haveston drinks coaster?

If so, what's it like?

Hi Guy,

Yes, a Christmas present from my wife (she asked me for a Santa list). There are three per package, made from silicone, and very cool. She told me the Haveston website was sold out at the time, but Haveston emailed her and directed her to the Worn and Wound Windup Shop which still had some available. Currently, it looks the reverse is the case: Haveston have them in stock while W&W do not.

Attached are some pics. Sorry if this thread is taking a left turn.

Thanks John,

Sounds good and worked out well for you because, as far as I know, the Worn & Wound shop is in USA whereas Haveston are in UK.

They're just 'different'. I'd seen them advertised on Social Media but not come across them in real life.

Guy

PS> Nice Oris by the way, however I thought I had the 'Hulk'?

Been wearing my Oris Aquis Small Seconds this evening.

You know, for such a large (45.5mm case with 54mm lug-2-lug) and hefty (237g on bracelet) watch it is remarkably comfortable to wear.

I think a lot of it is in the heft of the bracelet, which makes it very well balanced on the wrist; not top heavy as some watches can be.

Yes, it worked out nicely, and if you do order them works for you too since Haveston have them in stock right now.

Thanks for the compliment and your Oris ^^^ looks great as well. Regarding the Hulk, I always thought the green Aquis should be called the Green Lantern, given the kettle shaped case, but alas, my son's old Legos did not have such in his collection.
Best regards,
John

I’m guessing that must quite an early Lum-Tec? Their design language has moved on from there more recently. I like it though...

You're probably right, as usual..I think I've had it for 6 or 7 years now.

^^^^ That is a good looking Ebel.

I first remember looking at Ebel in an AD window many, many years ago and being attracted to the signature case style and bracelets.

Cordura strap. Bit of a bonus as the stitching seems a reasonable match.
