Ebels are a lot like women that lack a lowcut dress that zips up the side..neither gets the love that they deserve..

Clever aren't they? All the height disappears into the wrist due to the caseback design

This looks great and the navigator looks amazing. What's the deployant like?

Thanks. I gave up with the deployant – it's one massive faff. Apart from the fact I'm between holes so there's either a huge gap or it's boa constrictor tight, the keeper is supposed to go over the whole clasp and spare strap to keep it all tucked in and neat, but Christ … I'm sure there's a knack to it but putting on a watch shouldn't involve losing 10 minutes of your life every time.neil8fletcher3 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:32 pmThis looks great and the navigator looks amazing. Anyway, a new vintage strap is on order in similar colour to the original, which I actually really like. I'm also going to try and find another strap to fit the clasp to. It needs the 12 o'clock side to be a bit longer.
All that said, many people have said they love the deployant and it fits perfectly

Attempting to make every day a holiday on a gloomy TX Gulf Coast day with a new Metris on a very stiff leather strap.
Re: Non CW of the Day
Lovely. I’m amazed by the range of case finishes and dial colours available for the Metris.

Thanks Chuck. It’s a good question, I don’t know, but I like that they’re a little bit uncommon.Thunder1 wrote:A looker, to be sure..sometimes wonder why we don't see more of these out in the wild..
I was originally after a blue dial like yours, but this one appealed as well and the price was good...
Yep, it’s definitely a case of clever design John. The bowl shaped case and caseback works wonders. It'sAliveJim wrote:Clever aren't they? All the height disappears into the wrist due to the caseback design
