New to me yesterday.
B3AA3982-AB2A-4004-93A9-8A6049D4129C.jpeg
Four watch sales, a pm seeking advice, a fortuitous set of circumstances and a very enjoyable conversation over a couple of drinks led to this changing hands.
I am overwhelmed by the quality of finish and craftsmanship on this and my photographic skills do not do it justice. I am also very grateful to Steve for being so helpful in making a long term plan come to fruition.
Many congratulations on a superb quality watch. Enjoy
Cheers now
Paul

I really love this saphhire bezel insert. I also prefer the bi-directional, 12 hour bezel over a traditional, unidirectional dive bezel.

#SeikoSunday part II - Gen 1 Orange Monster.

One of the first few watches I bought via the forum, sold it, then bought a replacement last year, again via the forum.

Thanks, Paul. I really love Nodus (www.noduswatches.com if anyone is interested). Wes Kwok and Cullen Chen, the co-founders, are top-notch and have been putting out really nice designs with superb quality. They even regulate all movements. My Contrail is my most accurate watch at close to 0spd (my Steinhart is close though). I'm not sure if they're as well known outside the U.S., but they are gaining a cult-like following here...I dare say similar to Halios and Zelos.
Best regards,
John

Thanks for the positive comments about the Snowflake gents, much appreciated.
I will keep trying to improve my photographic skills in order to do it justice.

The ' Footycrazy Strap ' on the Pam looks great too.

Speedmaster Gemini LE on a suitably matching fitted rubber and sailcloth strap. The colours in the first photo are accurate - the orange and blue of the strap match the hands and dial perfectly.

Hey Chuck, it's the Contrail Laguna Sand. All Contrail models have sold out some time ago, and Nodus have said the Contrail 2 is coming this year sometime. Currently, they have for sale the Avalon, a no date dive watch, the Retrospect 2, a vintage style dive watch, the Duality, a dual crown compressor style watch that sold out almost immediately in preorders (restock coming in March), and the just launched this month Sector Dive and Sector Field watches. Movements are either Seiko or Miyota, all regulated in four positions (mine is the Miyota 9015). On wrist, most owners, myself included, report greater accuracy than what the included regulation cards indicate (I've attached mine as an example, along with website pics of my Contrail when they had them for sale). They offer great value for money with prices ranging from $400 to $700. Check out the website for more info: www.noduswatches.com

Wes and Cullen are passionate watch nuts, and are really talented at this stuff. Cullen does all the assembly in house in Los Angeles, Wes runs most of the other aspects of the business. They both design the watches. Lots of interesting reading in their blogs.
