The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

That suits the speedy really well Steve
This one for me. In a very short space of time it has become my favourite of my small collection.

^^^ If irony is a synonym for hypocrisy, then I agree with you.

Some of the posters adopt a crazy position but their views are entrenched, so it is what it is.

For me, I like the three part case, the high quality of the anti-reflective coating, the small details such as the crowns and bevelled lugs, the fact that the leather straps are thicker at the lugs than at the buckle etc, etc. Basically, all the stuff you notice when wearing a watch, rather than what is seen when looking at them from a position on a high horse.

Anyway, hopefully, the new one will arrive tomorrow.
Where is the new one then?
Cheers now

A bit of a delay. The retailer sent one but the condition was totally unacceptable. I returned it and am now waiting for a replacement.

You are right, Guy. Although the watch has not yet arrived, I have indeed been out all day on the bike. :)

Just received a Steveostraps black canvas “Yachtsman” for my new Seiko. Steveo made it to my specs so that I could use the original buckle from my Seiko and so it could be used with some Watchgecko “slim” Fatboy springbars. The quality is superb and I rather like it.

Nice combo Graham... matches nicely. ...aaah... if only you owned the watch company bearing your name as well. That is seriously one of their better watches though, is it not?
