Re: Non CW of the Day
Collected this today based on a recommendation on the forum. Quite delighted with the fit and finish considering it came from TKMaxx !

Re: Non CW of the Day
There are a couple of watches I like very much in SC.
Could I manage 43mm? Normally I wouldn't give it any consideration, but a mate has just bought a 43mm Aquis and it wears smaller than I thought.
And this is unquestionably my favourite Oris model ...
thoughts welcome.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Those are both great deals on great looking watches. I have been giving a lot of thought to one of them myself, but have resisted so far. Partly because of the whole shipping/duties thing as I am in the US. If I were closer it would have been done by now. Go for it!StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:26 pm There are a couple of watches I like very much in SC.

Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

They wear relatively small for their dimensions, short downturned lugs and only about 12mm(?) high.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:26 pm There are a couple of watches I like very much in SC.

My wrist is 18.5cm and it’s fine for me; probably wears about the same as a mk2 Trident, or possibly even a fraction smaller:

^^ Stunning. Grand Seiko's are massively overlooked. Such brilliant watches.
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

Yeh, the lugs help alot, but your wrist circumference is quite a bit bigger than mine.
How does the flats of your wrist measure top-bottom?
Just to give me an idea from your pic.

Thank you. The only watch that will always be safe in my collection.

Re: Non CW of the Day
My wrist dimensions are approx. 4cm top-to-bottom and 6cm side-to-side (these are ‘snug’ measurements) with the top being relatively flat rather than truly elliptical.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 8:42 pmThanks Tim.timor54 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 8:31 pmThey wear relatively small for their dimensions, short downturned lugs and only about 12mm(?) high.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:26 pm There are a couple of watches I like very much in SC.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Hmmm ... My wrist is 55 at the joint, tapering to 50 a bit further down
I'm not so sure it's going to look ok
I'd like to get into Cardiff to try a few on, but I barely get chance to fart nowadays, let alone go watch shopping.
