Fresh in yesterday from Long Island Watches in NY, bought in their sale about 50% off (no brainer), my second Marathon Navigator this time in Desert Tan (other one is black).
Pucker NATO Stock number and Military Issue. Strap is a Zuludiver NATO.

Maybe you are right. I think if I owned a bronze cased watch I'd polish it too though. Each to their own!
