Incoming - Omega DSOTM
Hi all,
Here is my latest incoming - Omega DSOTM Ref 311.92.44.51.01.003
I went into my local Omega AD last Saturday to see if there was any news on the Omega DSOTM Ref 311.92.44.51.01.007 that they have been trying for ages to get me in. They had been in touch with Omega and they told them that they wouldn't be supplying them with any more Ref .007's. I suppose I could have tried somewhere else but they give me a very generous discount on my Omegas.
Anyhow, the assistant said that the day before they had had a delivery and included was a DSOTM Ref .003 and it was in the sale with £2520 off the list price and would I like to look at it...what a silly question Needless to say it has now joined my collection

Re: Incoming - Omega DSOTM
Is the difference in reference just a different strap, or something else?

That is a fine acquisition. The box crystal caseback is something else.
Any idea how they remove the thing to get at the movement? Front loader maybe?

That is frankly unbelievable and precipitated a visit to the Omega website to learn more. An engineering marvel...I'm not at all envious.

That looks absolutely superb, congratulations!
Can you talk me through the subdials please? The one at 3 o’clock seems to have two hands. Are these the chronograph hours and minutes? An action shot of the chronograph might help. Thanks.

That’s absolutely beautiful.
I too would like to know what the difference between the 2 reference are. And is Steve right that there are 2 hands on the 3 o clock subdial?

Fantastic! A GSOTM is on my money-no-object list - I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing one at £4k (would have needed the credit card!) Enjoy!

Re: Incoming - Omega DSOTM
As far as I know the only differences are...
The .003 has a ceramic buckle and pin, the .007 has the ceramic/titanium fold over clasp.
The .007 has 18k white gold applied indexes and hands, the .003 has 18k white gold hands only.
Regards, Chris.

Steve, the 3 o'clock subdial does indeed have 2 hands, and yes they are the chronograph hours and minutes.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 5:54 pm That looks absolutely superb, congratulations!
