Very nice, and quite the story.

A great read and a great result.

Another superb Omega mod. I’d never have the guts, but love seeing yours!

I'm probably the person Gary has in mind when he's thinking of someone who owns both the white dial and the grey/blue Seamasters :D  :D

I do like a good Seamaster and I have almost as many of them as I do CWs....

Great mod BTW. It looks amazing.

Oddly enough I was talking about a white dial/blue bezel Seamster a few hours before the 100 days to Tokyo was released.

that's a great mod and a great looking watch. i own one modded omega (done before i bought it), but it was a much less complex mod than this one.

Fabulous! How rewarding it must feel to see such a fine outcome from your ideas. Fortune favours the brave they say !

Knowing this would likely be a long read, I left it until now. A great pre-bedtime story and a fabulous result.

Thank you, Gary.

Its always good to know you have a unique watch.

Kind of reminds me of the new Tokyo Olympic Seamaster. I think they nicked your idea.

I should not have said that. :|

P.S. Thanks for the comments ... and to clarify - I bought the watch from my watchmaker as is. The modding idea was his; unlike my other modded Omegas, where the ideas are mine. I must admit I'd never thought of a blue bezel on the white - even with the two white SMPs I's previously owned, I fitted them with black bezels, not blue, even when I'd had a spare blue bezel... Why didn't I think of this earlier?

I seem to be on the list for the Tokyo Olympics version. Not sure how that happened

Now I wonder if I could put a black ceramic bezel on the Nekton... It would look so much better.

Excellent write up on the modification process, thanks for sharing. I do like your incoming watch tales, there are always really informative.

Another excellent read, Gary. Always enjoy these.
Seems to me, we have a prime example of where the necessary and unnecessary dissolve into nothing-ness and re-appear in a watch.
Bravo to the watchmaker and to you Gary for recognising its significance and putting your money where the passion is. Hats off.

A few weeks was what I was told. Also the America's cup watches should be available in about the same time frame.
