Is that a quick release bracelet in the pictures? Certainly looks different to my Aquis bracelets.

From what I've read elsewhere, it does have a quick release "button".
No mention of quick adjust clasp though.

Have to admit to being slightly disappointed by this one. I'm a big fan of the Aquis however I do think that Oris have played it too safe - its just another Aquis. Yes it looks superb, as most of them do, but is it worth an £1100 premium over the regular model? You could, I suppose, argue that it is due to savings on servicing costs in the long term but with the 5 day PR being one of the biggest selling points I would have expected a PR indicator on the dial to show it off a little, as they have on their Calibre 11x models.

I also don't see much benefit to a 'quick change' system for the bracelet - due the integrated lugs the strap options are basically limited to bracelet or rubber and the current screws are solid and easy to change anyway. Surely an 'on the fly' clasp would have been much more beneficial, especially as they have this on the rubber strap.

£2700 is quite a chunk of change for a 43mm Aquis, albeit with a new fancy movement. I have plenty already so won't be buying, but it will be interesting to see what the secondary market makes of them if owners wish to move them on - can't help thinking it will lose a packet (I know that's not important for long term owners who are happy to take the hit).
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

^^ Agree, Chris. Moving into that price bracket for an Aquis needed something other than the movement to make it stand out. I'll stick with what I already have and wait for the next release. The secondary market will be interesting. For now though it looks like, in that price bracket, the Black Bay is still king.

Hit and a miss by Oris here... hopefully the movement turns up in something more interesting soon.

Look at the price differential between between a CW C60 with SW200 or the SH21 movements and you'll see where Oris are placing themselves.

Very nice looking watch.

I’ve read somewhere that the lug design has been changed slightly to accommodate the new quick release bracelet. I’m curious about this and would like to see some pictures of the new QR rubber strap. Having said that, l like the current arrangement of screwed bars; I find it very easy to swap between bracelet, rubber and leather straps. But there again I do have the Oris screwdriver

Given that the Aquis is probably the flagship model for Oris I guess it logical for them to start with it. However, it’s not enough to make me want to upgrade my current Aquis.

I’d like to see this in some other/new models. Maybe a non-dive sports model something like an Aqua Terra or North Flag...

Personally I don't compare the two brands against each other - Oris in my experience produce better watches and focusing on the Aquis range have a solid weight, feel good on the wrist are are available with decent bracelets. Only downside is the unique lugs on some models.

Regarding price Oris yes are more expensive, but I'm happy to pay more for a better watch. For both brands, I wouldn't pay RRP or chase new models whilst they are being hyped/promoted.
