Re: Tribus Watches
I've not been impressed with any of their marketing but thought this was standout terrible.

Re: Tribus Watches
I was thinking seriously about one of the cream dial automatic LIverpool watches, especially now they are half price. I don't think the Liverpool crest in the subdial position is that ostentatious. It's not just peer reviews, but it would be nice to see more independent reviews of the watches. Maybe I would be more inclined with a display case back.
I know @Richard D gave a tremendous thumbs up to the 303, and the few reviews I have seen have been favourable, but I am just not sure. Even at half price it's another £500 I don't have to spend.

Funnily enough I'm in exactly the same boatJAFO wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:24 pm I was thinking seriously about one of the cream dial automatic LIverpool watches, especially now they are half price. ...my dilemma is whether I would consider it to be a novelty watch and thus how many times I would actually wear it

Re: Tribus Watches
That's pretty serious stuff as I know Chris (Ward) is a full blown Liverpool fan.
It must have seriously pained him and his sons to make this decision.
Notwithstanding, I'm sure they will be able to press on with Tribus as a brand.

Big respect to the Wards. That must hurt them on many levels but it shows their integrity. Bravo boys.

Re: Tribus Watches
Principles live on it seems, well done.
Wonder if it will have all blown over in a week though. It looks like the idea may disappear as quick as it came about with u-turns happening already so maybe Tribus may be back eventually.
Livepool is not the owners, it isn't even about the players or manager long term, they will come and go but the fans will not. If Tribus have bought into that philosophy the partnership may still have a place.

Re: Tribus Watches
This seems a bit of an overreaction considering nothing is set in stone yet. There was another brand linked to sport that invested heavily, then made huge sweeping statements and claimed to end partnerships via social media.... Rich Energy.
I hope Tribus have more about them than that particular story.

Re: Tribus Watches
Tribus made a big song and dance about the LFC connection when it was announced and although I don't visit the website very often, it was always heavily weighted towards LFC.
I'm pretty sure LFC don't care whether Tribus have severed ties with the club as they are a tiny club partner, and will make little difference to the bottom line. If major sponsors walk, it's time to take notice.
I'm all for principles, but Tribus have perhaps been hasty with their decision, unless they wanted a reason to part company. If they do go there separate ways, Tribus will miss LFC more than Liverpool losing a small watch partner

Re: Tribus Watches
Kelly Cates (King Kenny’s daughter) just mentioned on Sky Sports that Liverpool’s global time partner Tribus have announced they are ending their partnership. Jamie Carragher laughed and said “I got a watch off them a few weeks ago so I’m all right”.
Good publicity for Tribus!

Re: Tribus Watches
'Fair play' to Tribus for that. Of course they'll use it for maximum marketing capital, but i'm sure it does genuinely reflect their personal views as fans of the club. It did cross my mind earlier whether Tribus would make a statement on the topic......

Re: Tribus Watches
Liverpool Football Club can confirm that our involvement in proposed plans to form a European Super League has been discontinued.
In recent days, the club has received representations from various key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and we would like to thank them for their valuable contributions.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Re: Tribus Watches
Simon Rimmer says he loves his Tribus watch and is sorry to see them go but he agrees with them. As it now stand all 6-“breakaway” clubs have ditched the idea. Think the whole thing was miss judged and the owners may find themselves the target of the fans from now on.
