And the winner is....
Rolex datejust 116200.
I love this particular dial combination but they seem to be fairly rare. When I stumbled upon this one by chance Yesterday that was that.
Opening that green box I was not disappointed. Even nicer in the flesh than the pictures. At 36mm it is a perfect size on my wrist and seems to wear just slighty larger than I remember my old Op36. I’m not sure if they share the same case or not.

Anyway a couple of quick snaps of mine and 1 from the dealer showing the nice filled lume numerals.
Thanks again for your thoughts and suggestions. I am one happy bunny

That’s an incredibly interesting dial! I’ve not seen that before. While I’m still undecided as to whether the dial appeals to my personal taste, I can definitely appreciate that it’s not your run-of-the-mill Rolex. And are the numbers filled with a different color lume? Very cool.

Congratulation on your new watch. Enjoy it!

...and maybe some more pics?

Fascinating! Not the one I was expecting at all.

It has rather a lot of something that I can only describe as CHUTZPAH! It’s different, and I like that.

Congratulations, Paul. It’s a great acquisition and I wish you many happy occasions of wearing it.

To be honest Steve it wasn’t the one I was expecting either! I have my name down for the blue op at two rolex ADs and was prepared for the long wait.
This dial has always really appealed but is rare and was discontinued in 2018. Seeing a picture of one on the rolex forum prompted a quick t’internet search just in case By some chance there was one out there and surprisingly this revealed itself. An hour later I found myself considerably poorer but excited. Chuffed with it to be honest.
Cheers now, Paul

Top notch, Paul.

Shades of an Air King, perhaps?

Great acquisition Paul, not a model I had noticed before but has a great dial with that grid effect and the applied blue numerals.

Is this now the perfect 4 (I think) collection, do you think you'll settle with these ones, at least for the foreseeable?
