Lovely Omega... I think not!

Post by Soporsche »

A friend in Manchester whose not a watch guy emailed the following pic to me saying "I might buy this Omega Speedmaster, think it looks amazing and I understand its quite rare What do you think re price at £1500 bargain, fair or too much?"

My advice, run a mile at any price.. Do you think my advice was correct and why?
This is a real scenario but the post is just for fun! 😁

Some "interesting" markings on the right-hand sub-dial. :)

Aye, but the date wheel matches the dial colour - that's a big plus! I'd love to see the co-axial chronometer movement.

That was the very 1st thing I noticed too Richard, I havent come across a sub-dial with those markers before, great for timing errrr something! 😁
Ill admit I did do a quick Google to make sure it wasn't me being thick, I think the fact I did this in itself proved I am!

I suggested he ask for some pics of the caseback and ideally the movement just for fun..

That is a very very very rare Omega, could be one of a kind, might be worth a fortune

I often find the time between 1600 and 1800 on a work day is the longest, not shortest, period of time!
