The new Bremont Battle of Britain Collection - purchase the set of two limited edition (80) watches for £14,995 and you get a free flight in a Spitfire.

That probably isn't bad vfm for such a unique experience, may already be sold out.

Ach, spend 5% of that on a CW from the showroom and then have a go of the spitfire simulator in Maidenhead instead.

They're nice watches and the Spitfire flight has got to almost be one of those 'money can't buy' experiences. Looking at the likely cost of the threesome and it does stack up as a reasonable VFM buy.

Mind you; I have a CW related idea too . . . . . .

I'm normally a Bremont fan, but these leave me a little underwhelmed, being honest. But at least it's a genuine LE, with only 80 available.

Like the Bremont BOB Hurricane but the Spitfire one doesn’t do anything for me.

The RRP of two non LE versions of the watches upon which those are based would be less than £8k. Discount typically available on new Bremonts would reduce the cost substantially.

A basic Spitfire flying experience can be had for slightly less than £3k. However not sure if the experience included with the watches is the basic, or one of the upgraded.

It is though a very small run LE and looks to already be sold out, according to the Bremont website.

Just goes to show the premium pricing that all brands typically add to LE models....

Mind you if you are over 6’ 2” and weigh more than 230lbs you are too big to do the flight.

A flight in a Spitfire does sound rather cool. 😎

Even though I don’t have a Bremont I would be more likely to buy one than a watch from many more well known brands.

CW's salute / commemoration / homage to the Battle of Britain, in a round about way.

Finally, going slightly off piste, the GasGasBones 6B Mk3 'Scramble', also commemorating the Battle of Britain.

This "twinset" of watches was a bit too rich for my taste. I took a flight on a B-17 a few years ago and that was $650 for a 30 minute flight. In the US flights in modified "single seaters" such as a P-51D Mustang or even a 2-seat Spitfire are in the $3000 range.

I'd rather have the GGB than the Bremont. Might not be considered by some to be terribly haute horological, but as special, if not more so.

Nice one Guy!

Agree with others - buy the flight for under £3k and the watch you really want!

Cheers gents. Much appreciated.

The GBB 6b Mk3 is definitely not in the high horology category, but then neither was its price.

It is, within its 50 piece LE run, unique as a watch design. Something that I don't believe can be said about the Bremonts.

I'm not a Bremont fanboy and that's despite studying them in the jeweller's window most weeks so I guess I'd just take the spitfire experience flight. Maybe twice?
