Survey completed.

Went for the Green stripe strap; got plenty of other NATOs I can use with it too.

Hi all.

I got an update from GYRE SeaCleaner team yesterday advising that the delivery date has been pushed out to October 2020 because of problems with the bezel manufacturer going bust because of Covid-19. Any one else had this message and what is your reaction.

After a bit of a long wait, Gyre have been pushing out the SeaCleaner in small batches, in backer order, starting about two weeks before Christmas.

I missed the first two batches but have received a FedEx Dispatched email this afternoon, with delivery due to me on Tuesday 5th January.

Having backed and paid for the watch a little over six months ago, I'll be starting the New Year receiving what will feel like a free watch! :D

Well done Guy,

Will be interested in seeing it in the flesh so to speak.

You have done well with the 6 months. I have backed 4 watch projects now and appear to have been shafted on every one!!

One might still appear, but I ain't holding my breath......

Ouch; not good and sorry to hear Nick. :(

I've got a second Kickstarter from end of February en-route, the NARDI HMS C-20 Cornwall that keeps on getting knocked back by Covid related issues but still looks positive for, now, early in the New Year.

I've then got two other pieces from established brands for Q1 and Q2 2021. Fingers crossed.

Hi Guy,

Just as a matter of interest, can you tell me what backer number you were, I was number 105. I am just trying gauge when I might get my watch! I haven't had any notification from FedEx, so mine is probably not ready to be dispatched yet. :(

Thanks

Hi John,

I'm backer 83. Message of 23rd December from Team Gyre;-

Dear Backers,

Our second batch was sent out this weekend and we're very happy to receive some fanmail. Great to see backers wearing the SeaCleaner after a long wait!

We are still hard at work on sending out the remaining watches. And again, we very much appreciate your patience. Between Christmas and New Year's we expect to have a couple dozen more ready to ship.

For now, we want to wish you Happy Holidays, in good health. All the best and we will update you again after Christmas!

Best regards,

Team Gyre

Guess you should be next.

Hi Guy,

Thanks for the update, I did a quick check to see if I had received a similar message but no such luck, I will have to be patient.

Message is on Kickstarter (not email).

Only advice of dispatch is email from FedEx.

@treyford - project update #17 is available to read on Kickstarter, John.

I had a thought over lunchtime. As the Gyre SeaCleaner is coming from the Netherlands I may well have to pay 20% VAT upon arrival. :(

My SeaCleaner arrived this morning, a day early, and rather than continuing this thread, I thought a new topic of GYRE SeaCleaner - Arrived would be appropriate.
