Wow, CW's expansion to focus on the East must be paying off to warrant such copies. On first inspection, I'd suggest the makers of this copy have even gone to the same component manufacturers.

looked at the link and they openly say c65 knock off! Different movement and not sapphire but wonder if the cases are from the same factory? all feels very cheeky but only the same as parnis etc and Steinhart to a large extent.
Never thought you could wear a watch look down at it and wish it was the real thing where the real thing is CW

Should this topic even be on this forum?

Appreciate the awareness of copies/fakes should be discussed somewhere, but it seems wrong to me to have this listed on the CW forum.
Current collection incl Alpina, Breitling, Bulova, Casio, Citizen, Eterna, Oris, Rado, Raymond Weil, Rolex, Seiko, Tag, Timex, Tudor & Victorinox.

Just a knock-off copy, quite blatant in typical Chinese style. Good for CW: if somebody buys a fake because they like the design but have never heard of CW, once they find out it's a knock-off, absolutely nothing at all to stop them trading up to the real thing unless money is the problem, in which case they'd not be able to buy a CW anyway.

Reminds me of the Chinese Trident "homage" that we discussed last year

Many of the other products on the website are openly described as “knock off” of various Seiko etc..

To be fair to Steinhart I wouldn’t put the stuff that Steinhart produce in the same bracket as this stuff.

Hmmm, theres a clear difference between inspiration and outright copy/fake. As they arent using the brands logo/name/trademarks apparently its a 'homage'.
As someone who's invested 3 years capital and resources in developing a software product only to find theres a complete 'homage' available on various Eastern websites (different name, my source code).. i have a fairly dim view of 'homages'!
CW's: 7+
Various others: Heuer, Tudor, Dan Henry, Seiko,..

And in fairness, CW have been there done that on the 'homage' front themselves.

I agree that Steinhart quality is really very good indeed especially for the money but many models are absolute rolex rip offs without even trying to put a little bit of design input in to make it their own. Fortunately they do have other models that are not homage pieces

Bloody hell, they’re blatant!

There’s even a range of Oris 65 clones, including some of the special editions 8O

The San Martin Radiomir homage is almost as bad as the original.
If you ever watch the "Just one more watch" channel on YouTube you might be quite familiar with some of these.
