INTRODUCING THE LONGINES HERITAGE MILITARY 1938

Post by gaf1958 »

While it’s certainly true that Longines continues to produce watches with modern sensibilities, they’ve leaned into vintage reproductions of historical models more than most. As a brand with an extensive, often criminally overlooked history, this has proven to be a great strategy as modern watches with vintage style continue to be in demand.

At 43mm it’s large no doubt, but the side by side with the original shows it’s faithful to the original other than that.

Not that Longines have done anything wrong, although for the genre of watch 43mm seems a tad on the large side, but my money would go on a C65 Sandhurst.

Agree - love the style, but would never buy one for that reason.

I guess it's largely forced on them by the size of the movement they've chosen to use.

The earlier release heritage watch looks better. Only thing I'd change with this one is fit a manual wind movement.
