Steinhart .. they ship quickly :)

Post by Toph » Wed Oct 23, 2019 12:39 pm

No lies, no mix ups, website that loads quickly, just professional service and 4 day WW delivery. Great product too.
The only reason I even looked at this was because how long CW are taking with orders ( reading FB and trust pilot, and my own experience.) Love my new Trident but couldn’t be bothered with all the hassle like last time. Will wait and hope we agree on an FLE that I’ve voted for :)
Anyway here’s what a got to keep me going

Now that is nice. What size, if I may ask?

42mm according to their website.

What I’d appreciate knowing is the lug-to-lug measurement? They don’t publish that and the lugs do appear rather long.

In my experience of Steinhart the lugs are rather flat and don't curve to fit the wrist contours so could wear a bit oddly on the smaller wrist.

I think there is a 39mm version of this watch?
If I had to get a Steinhart, this is the one I’d get :)

I thought this was one of the few rolex knock off's that isn't available in that size but I could be wrong. (normally am)
In my experience they make really good quality watches at very decent prices indeed.

Very nice choice OP
Cheers now

Good watch OP.

Pleased to hear they shipped in an acceptable timescale.

Don’t think they do this one in 39mm. I looked last week. If they do a 39mm version I will likely buy one.

Priced right too. Around $500US with shipping.👍 I bought my first Steinhart about five years ago. Prices have changed little, if at all since.

I'd go for a 39mm version. Maybe in the future as there's always comments on Instagram about it

I have one of these myself, prefer it on a leather or canvas strap. Really recommended if you like the style, about half the cost of the equivalent Christopher Ward watch! ETA movement in there as well. The face is a very dark grey (black in some lights), and the vintage lume is a lovely tan/brown to the eye, and very bright when charged. An impressive watch for the money, no complaints from me.

LUG TO LUG is 50mm. Although the lugs look fairly flat from the side, they really don't offend at all once it's on your wrist and pressed into your flesh (unless you wear your watches loose and dangly!)

I wholeheartedly recommend Steinhart, prices have seemed stable for a good few years now, resale value is always very good, and there is none of the messing around waiting for answers, lack of after sales care (even from my personal experience from 2 of the top men themselves - a joke to be honest), or constant apologies that I myself have experienced with Christopher Ward in recent years. Not just me it seems either.

Go Steinhart and you won't regret it.

The price trend partly explained by the USD appreciating about 15% against the Euro in that period, although I agree the Steinharts are reasonably priced.
