Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2019 8:53 am The Smiths has too many similarities to your other watches (polished case, cathedral hands etc.) and I am not convinced will look good on a NATO.
So you're basically saying an Explorer may not look ok on a NATO ... that is one of the first signs of insanity Guy

I'd take the Khaki out of the 2 watches posted, although I'd much prefer it if the finish was brushed.
As Neil has already stated, the Smiths would have me longing for a crown logo.

you haven't got another one have you? (he asks sheepishly  )
  Unfortunately not. Think we maybe in the same boat slightly here. I have slight regrets selling it to you and you seem to slightly regret selling it on  I’m looking for a black DLC replacement for it at the moment but slightly bigger case - the Pinion Axis is winning the race currently. The C8 was a weird one for me as the black made it seem too small but my Dad has the steel case and it looks perfect.

The inhouse H50 movement is date or non date but no date only on this range I'm afraid but that would have been my preference anyway.
I actually had no idea they had developed so many movements.
ps sorry about your c8. Unfortunate series of events!

Having just recently seen the Hammies in the flesh, I’d go Hammy. Just think of all those adventures awaiting you on the river bank!

I've had both and while both are fabulous in different ways, the Everest was the one I found I wore more, and in a variety of environments. On the bracelet it was perfect for the office, pop it on a NATO for the beach, on a canvas strap for warm days in the bush. So on balance, more versatile than the Hammy, and good looks which will outlive me!

Its arrived and I am delighted. Looks excellent,a bit like aged bronze and so light, thin and comfortable you could forget it's on! the supplied leather nato looks good and not at all bulky as the leather is very thin but I have the perfect harveston waiting for it that will go on later. Roll on the warm weather
