A quick search and they have been crownfunding watches since 2015 so not sure who is copying who with the flag motif, as it looks to be standard on their crowns.
Maybe CW will copy there 10 year warranty pladge

The "grid" is quite common - e.g. Mountune, a Ford/VW tuning company and British Touring Cars sponsor... If anything, I'd say they have a claim on the above watch crown logo!
The beauty of the twin flags motif is it represents the English and Swiss flags, not just a generic grid/chequer pattern.

Ebels are a lot like women that lack a lowcut dress that zips up the side..neither gets the love that they deserve..
