A point I noticed was that Timex UK are selling it for £26.99 and the same watch is for sale on amazon.com in the good old USA for US$16.31 and they are prepared to ship to the UK. The value is low enough not to attract any import duty I am assuming

The idea for a 'Speedy Snoopy' is a great call but it is a bit too rich for my budget :)

Thanks again every one.
VAT is payable on item value £15 or greater, and Royal Mail then add an £8 handling fee.

Good luck.

Bought this one for my two and a half year old. Admittedly it doesn’t stay on her wrist for more than a few minutes but it’s a fun watch. Woodstock flies around the dial as the second hand. I think there is actually a downloadable app that goes with the timex kids watches so they can learn.

Not a watch, but a learning clock which would be great in a kids bedroom.
