Bought my nephew a watch !

Post by MiniMpi »

My nephew was 30 today so I decided that even though he's from the generation that never wore a watch, I'd buy him a cheapie just to see if he'd like it.
He has a good job at an accounting firm so it might fit in well.
Went for a Sekonda Blue galvanic dial quartz on a bracelet. Also day/date too.
Thankfully he loves it and admitted he was going to buy a watch soon.
No point buying him something decent as he won't understand or appreciate it, just €29 !
How bad !

A lovely gesture Ferg, to get a watch for your Nephew and a smart but inexpensive one seems ideal if you were not sure he will wear it.

All the better that he likes it.

My son (30) doesn't wear a watch either, even though I've offered one to him. When he came home one day earlier in the week, I was in my study (spare bedroom) with watches out on the desk getting ready for them to be sold. We chatted and he asked me if I had more or less than 30 watches. I diverted to a different question.

Well done Ferg on getting another member of the next generation into proper watches (i.e. not a smart watch). That looks great vfm too.

My son (18) now wears the Seiko sea urchin pepsi I got him for his birthday, it looks very smart on the bracelet and he does like it a lot, quite pleasing considering he had never worn a watch at all before that.
