New Arrival - Patek Philippe Calatrava

Post by DJP31 »

Having received some lovely comments and helpful suggestions on my ‘legacy help please’ thread I thought a few more photos wouldn’t go amiss.

The reference is 511G and has, apparently, just been discontinued. I hope you like them, apologies for quality it’s iPhone only and I’m no photographer.

It is simply superb and sits just right. Not much more I can add really. I can’t think of a better way to remember my Mum by.

Beautiful. Would love to see a sharper one of the movement if you can get it. :D

Really really lovely! And to have that as a perpetual reminder of you mother makes it just so much sweeter. So glad how this worked out for you!

I hope you enjoy it. It’s not my type of watch at all but, in your case, what it stands for is more important than the actual watch.

At the risk of derailing my own thread :o I'd love to see what you'd consider your favourite "cuppa".

Likewise @TigerChris, what do you have that floats your boat the most?

I’m not a ‘dress watch’ person. Dive/tool/sport are my usual styles. Current favourites that I own are Oris Staghorn and Tudor Black Bay Red, but that may change tomorrow when my Bremont MB2 white dial arrives.

Like Chris, I am not a dress-watch person. My current collection consists almost entirely of three hand sports watches. My SOTC is a bit out of date but I guess you can say it reflects my tastes... viewtopic.php?f=64&t=50243

I’d rather you used the crap ones, then when I put some up later in the week they won’t look as bad :D
