FIRST LOOK: ORIS PRODIVER DIVE CONTROL LIMITED EDITION

Post by gaf1958 »

Now that we’re fast approaching trade show season, watch brands are starting to unveil some of their first 2019 novelties. Oris, one of our favorite firms here at Worn & Wound, is kicking things off in a big way with the limited edition Dive Control, a new member in Oris’ high-performance professional ProDiver family.

It's huge and expensive. I'm not sure I'd want to spend $5k USD on this and as it's 51mm it won't be seen on my wrist anytime soon. I really liked the look though.

Interesting look for sure, but way too large for my wrist and way too expensive for my wallet.

I can see why this would be a limited edition because there will be limited interest.
Cheers, Mike.

Rather industrial. Design by JCB?

Dive control? But it's not connected to any equipment......

Curious choice of name

I think this watch looks great - I particularly love the dial and the contrast of the black and yellow. Shame it's so big and expensive!!

It might be a bit on the 'huge' side at 51mm but when strapped on the outside of a dry suit it won't see so much so.

Bit like original Flieger / Observers watches at 55mm, strapped around a flying suit.
