Extremely interesting read. Many thanks.

And always good to see "5s" used in an article! Image

The premise of how the the watch was advertised by and to miners, builders etc to show it was more a working mans watch, and the advert underneath did make me chuckle.......

It shows that the demographic has changed somewhat!!! Image

Anything endorsed by that clown will drive me away from a brand.

Yes, celebrity endorsements are a negative, and yes Beckham has a very marmite wife, but not sure how he's a clown?

Besides having the Beckham charitable trust, find a list below of the charities/causes he invests his time and considerable wealth in:

African Wildlife Foundation
CHOC Children's Hospital
Elton John AIDS Foundation
FC Harlem
Help for Heroes
Malaria No More
mothers2mothers
National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children
Peace One Day
Raising Malawi
Red Cross
Save the Children
Save the Elephants
Sport/Comic Relief
UNICEF
WildAid

A guy who came from nothing and now has a positive impact on the world through his wealth. I'm not sure what's clown like about that.

But he doesn't invest his wealth into these charities. He gets the income from corporates and the willing public who fund them . As far as I can see is a family so obsessed with wealth and ego, that they would jump on a charity to one up their celeb status and maybe one day get the knighthood while his wife pushes for dame.

Trying to get this thread back on track as I'm not sure it does the Forum's reputation any good ripping into people we don't know - I bought this month's GQ as it had the 2019 watch guide with the main magazine so will have a good read of that article and others a bit later.

Thank you. Perhaps enough about Mr Beckham, gents?

Fascinating insight and reassuring for us Tudor owners that the fastidious levels of quality control applied to construction and testing seems to be shared across Rolex and Tudor.
