Except that is after the 9pm watershed and fails the forum 'family friendly' test.

That joke is nothing compared to what gets shared in school playgrounds, shopping centres, bus stops, etc. Not sure what saintly view you have of modern under 18s, but they're not all sweetness and light!

Greetings,

I am sure there was no intention to offend anybody in the first place, only a little humour.

Tyke, ,I'm sorry to see you depart and your honest approach will be missed.

As for the watch, one of the cleanest presentations by Oris in a long while, very good.

However without knowing anything about the driver concerned, I would never buy something with a signature on it.

Kubica crashed his rally car in Feb 2011, and the guardrail pierced the car and almost severed his right arm/hand (from memory went through the bulkhead and dashboard).

Robert Kubica drove in F1 for BMW Sauber and Renault during 2006 - 2011 and was tipped to become an F1 World Champion.

He had a near fatal crash taking part in a Rally in 2011, the result of which was that, whilst surviving, he nearly lost his right hand and arm.

Notwithstanding he has made a positive recover to the extent that he is currently the William F1 third driver and, despite have very limited use of his right arm is nevertheless, such is his talent as a driver, able to drive a current F1 car at competitive speeds (to within a tenth or two of a second per lap compared to the other Williams drivers, Stroll and Sirotkin).

That's it? This forum is too uptight... Guess all those 10 year olds reading this forum need to be protected by all means. Like they even know who that guy is.

Public chastisement is maybe more appropriate.
Lighten up, no need for that attitude..

I appreciate your comment Frank, which may well be valid.

However, Tyke's comment yesterday was I felt in very poor taste, particularly as I am an F1 fan and fully understood the meaning and insensitivity of it.

My comments / posts yesterday were made very much from a personal and forum user perspective.

If they were to have been from a Moderator's perspective I would have done so in private by PM to Tyke.

I was not the only forum user to feel aggrieved.

Maybe next time mention it is your personal opinion? Tyke requested the offending posts to be removed but you decided not to as a moderator.

How does it fail the family friendly test anyways? Not seeing anything about jokes or insensitivity.
1. Family friendly forum

To maintain the friendly atmosphere, we do not allow posts containing or relating to:
1.1 Racial or ethnic slurs
1.2 Foul and abusive language
1.3 Politics or Religion
1.4 Weapons
1.5 Replica or fake watches
1.6 Personal attacks on others
Guess it is ok to post pictures of naked women? No rule against that...!

Gotta agree.

Not much time/inclination to post at the moment, but I thought the comment was funny as 'eck!. (And I am a F1 fan too)

Even if I hadn't, I am a tad concerned as to the vilification of a user who spoke his mind, made a comment that some may have disagreed with and who then went for the pitchforks.

Ah well.
