Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 LE

Post by tempusmaximus »

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Super Sea Wolf diver , Zodiac is releasing this tribute watch , the Super Sea Wolf 68 aptly named for the models birth year . The watch has a certain vintage aura , though there is no question its a modern watch . The case measures 44mm x 50mm (its slightly oval shaped) and 16mm thick .The watch is a limited edition (182)

Oooh eck, not sure I like the shape of that case. Stick a digitial display on it and you've got yourself a Tamagotchi!

I don't like that at all. I shall stick with my vintage one.

@Kip - Really like your vintage Sea Wolf.

Just found out that Page and Cooper have been appointed sole UK AD for Zodiac.

The Super Sea Wolf 53 Skin seems very reasonably priced @ £700.

Arranging to go and check this out in the near future.

I’d been eying that one up for a while Guy, but at the time getting to view one in England was difficult, so the Staghorn won that race. My moratorium could, however, be at risk if one of the limited edition COSC versions came up at a decent price, but they were sold out very quickly after release

That would have been because there were no UK ADs appointed.

There are now, with Page & Cooper being only 20-25 mins down the road from me, so easy to visit.

I would imagine that, as the LE was sold out quickly, it is unlikely to come on the market, unless there is someone trying to turn one for a profit. :problem:

^^ I've never visited Page & Cooper, but have had a few conversations and they seem spot on. When I'm able to start purchasing again I think it would be well worth me having a drive down for a visit as they stock a lot of stuff that appeals to me, including several Zodiac models. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the Zodiac when you've been to look at it Guy.

Very nice indeed. Wears on the small side though and not for me.

Superb quality and bracelet is a work of art with spring loading in the butterfly deployant, to give about 3mm of 'give'.

Sitting alongside the Compression model which, although the same size, looks and wears larger.

That is a gorgeous blue. Definitely one to put on the list for future when I don't feel like a pauper! Interesting about the clasp. Thanks Guy
