Hands-On The Longines Legend Diver 36mm
Longines has unveiled a new addition to the Heritage family – the Longines Legend Diver 36mm. This watch is specifically geared toward the ladies (hey now!), but after a brief chat with my H Bros, we all agree this watch is perfectly suitable for men too (it’s a gender neutral world and I’m just living in it). Truth be told, the only dive watch I've ever really considered wearing is a Rolex Submariner, but after seeing the Longines Legend Diver 36mm, there's a new tool watch apple of my eye.

It’s also available in a burgundy degrade dial as well.

This Baselworld is frying my brain!
I don't think us small wristed variety have had so many cracking watches to choose from at any one time.

Re: Hands-On The Longines Legend Diver 36mm
I used to love my lld but with the long lug to lug it was a bit big. I could really fancy one of these. From a selfish point of view it’s great to see smaller options becoming more available again. Therehas been some belters to come out of baselworld this week
Cheers now, Paul

It's definitely been the best Baselworld for a long time. Longines and Tudor have stood above the rest.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

The Burgundy dial version is drop dead gorgeous. apart from being on the small side for me.

That's a very nice looking watch. I agree the burgundy is lovely, it also comes in purple, teal and white (mother of pearl).
Perhaps a little small for most men.

^^^^ Well not too small for real men, with the confidence not to allow their masculinity to be defined by the size of their watch.

Re: Hands-On The Longines Legend Diver 36mm
^^^totally agree Neil. The author of the review did say the watch was marketed mainly at women and that he thought it wore slightly smaller still than the 36mm hence my comment.
With my slim wrist size I'm sure I'd probably get away with wearing it no problem.

^^^^^ It will be interesting to see what they look like in the flesh. Because of the style of the dial it will (as said by the lovely Cara; she normally wears a 36mm Day-Date) probably look smaller than a 36mm dress style watch, but I think no smaller than a 38mm Trident, as it will have a narrower bezel than the Trident.

i've got it bad..... i've got that ache. the one that chews around your insides making you feel uncomfortable, while all the time you know that the 'solution' to the terrible ache is to buy a new watch..... the ache that afflicts your mind and makes you squirm around in whatever direction it takes to justify the purchase...... the ache that makes the crazy seem perfectly sane - why wouldn't i blow my savings on one utterly gorgeous piece of wrist trinketry that would make me smile for a while......?? because it's only those in the know who truly understand how right it feels to have an utterly gorgeous piece of wrist trinketry on..... my life would be better for buying a watch, no???

I agree the Bergundy dial is gorgeous, but a 36mm watch would look like a pimple on my wrist. Scale it up by about 15% though for a real mans watch

for once it's the girls who get the watch that the boys are hankering after! it would be interesting a few months down the line to get the figures of how many of the burgundy dials are sold to girls and boys. i think i'm going to pluck up the courage to go into the AD in town and try one on....
