Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
Pi**ses me off, it really does. Not much that I can do about it other than to ignore the ripoff artists and accept that I’ll not own one, at least until (or if) the prices drop considerably.

Yeah, they are really starting to pile up on eBay. Unfortunate. There's going to be a pre-order for another round, so I'd say if you're really interested you'll be able to get one of those, and at retail. Much better than feeding the flippers.gaf1958 wrote:Pi**ses me off, it really does. Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
wonder if there's a way for jason to know who flipped right away based on ebay accounts and emails so he can block those folks from ordering again?

That would be nice if he could. There are a few of us on here would love to own one. I’ll try my luck again next time and also with the upcoming GMT. I’ve even tried sneaking in the back door with forasec aswell to get nearer to the top of the list for their next preorder allocations, but no luckgwells wrote:wonder if there's a way for jason to know who flipped right away based on ebay accounts and emails so he can block those folks from ordering again?

Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
Sadly this is the way of the world whenever watches are produced or available only in small quantities. It will continue as long as people are willing to pay over the odds to others that have purchased purely to make money.
Halios are just another brand added onto the list, it's not the first and it won't be the last.
Like others here I would love to be able to buy 1 of the proposed GMTs to wear and keep but I know it just won't happen while these watches are made in such small batches and I will not pay over the odds to get 1 and thereby enable this lunacy to continue.
It won't be make any difference that there'll be another batch of 100 available in n months time because they will go the same way.
To those fortunate enough to have a Halios - well done, enjoy and don't let me down by flipping it.
