At last, the incoming has now arrived at Terminal Reggie
When I first clapped eyes on this watch a few years back, the titanium case, bracelet and the golden indices and hands with an almost black face really did float my boat.
It was either buy a new one which was in the region of £ 2750 or wait patiently until one came along on the pre-owned scene (which is exactly what i did).
I'd had some previous dealing with a chap from Portugal and commented at the time about the Grand Seiko SBGX069, of which he coincidentally, had one, picked up new from the Berlin Boutique. We made a deal on another piece at that time and despite me trying to bend his ear for the SBGX069 he left telling me that if he was to sell it down the line he'd let me know.
That call came on Sunday and thanks to UPS, the rest is history. Posted yesterday, arrived lunchtime today.

Congratulations Greg, a lovely addition to the box. The 37mm quartz GS I once owned is one of the few watches I have regretted selling (not at the time but much later)
Enjoy this one

Looks very smart and nice that the foundations of the deal you laid some time ago came to fruition

You learn something every day. I didn’t realise GS did any titanium models. Looks to still be in great nick too. Lovely.

Re: At last, the incoming has now arrived at Terminal Reggie
Thank you Ladies and Gents for the nice comments.
As stated, it's been on my radar for about 2yrs. I've been through the GS quartz range with SBGX009, 059, 063, 065 and an SBGV005 and they were all very nice watches.
As some of you will know, my Titanium likeness reared up when I bought the GS Snowflake and also The Citizen Chronomaster which both show just how well this particular metal can be "buffed up" to a beautiful shine if desired.
The Japanese have a fancy schmancy name for the polishing process called Zaratsu....
I had set my heart on the SBGX069 in Ti because it offers a very acceptable dress size of 37mm and is a complete bantam weight at a mere 79 grams on the bracelet (where it will always remain for me).
In summary, I'm 2/3rds of the way there in my Grand Seiko Trilogy (quartz, spring drive and auto) needing only now to obtain the SBGJ211, again in Ti but I'll have to sell an organ or wait in line for a wee while to get there although a planned trip to the Land of the Rising Sun in spring next year could see that dream realised.
